Plot[]

Rival entrepreneurs Ryan (Callan Prescott, from Eternal Hearts) and Maya (Izzy Lopez, from Loose Stones & You are My Rock) are both desperate to secure funding for their respective start-ups in a small, competitive town. Locked in a fierce competition for the same business space, they initially can’t stand each other. However, when a wealthy investor expresses interest in supporting couples, a spur-of-the-moment miscommunication leads to an accidental proposal between the two. Realising the potential advantage, they reluctantly decide to go along with a fake engagement to secure the funding they need. What starts as a calculated business move quickly spirals out of control, with Ryan and Maya forced to attend events together, meet each other’s families, and navigate the mounting public attention surrounding their relationship.

As their fake romance deepens, the pair begin to uncover surprising chemistry, and their mutual animosity gives way to genuine attraction. However, after the engagement party, they realise that their scheme might not have been the smartest way to secure the funding, and doubts begin to creep in. By the time the investors unknowingly sign off on their separate business ventures, Ryan and Maya have already developed real feelings for each other. In the end, Ryan asks Maya to be his girlfriend, but this time, without the pretence of a proposal.
