Synopsis[]
After the original movie, they ended up breaking up. It’s been 2 years. They haven’t spoken, haven’t seen each other since their break up. But fate decides to bring them back together at a mutual friend’s wedding. They decide to share a dance for old times sake and they seem to fall back into their attraction and romance in the moment. She has to decide if he really deserves a second chance after the break.
Plot[]
Two years after their complicated fake-to-real relationship ended on rocky terms, Ryan (Callan Prescott) and Maya (Izzy Lopez) have been living separate lives, with no contact since their breakup. Maya has moved on with her career, focusing on her growing business, and believes she has put her feelings for Ryan behind her. That is, until a mutual friend’s wedding brings them unexpectedly back together.
Maya, the maid of honour, is shocked to discover that the groom’s best man is none other than Ryan. She knew Sara, her best friend, had once dated Ryan’s best friend Jack, but she didn’t realise Jack was the groom. As the maid of honour and best man, Ryan and Maya are forced to spend time together planning the wedding, constantly bumping into each other. Their awkward encounters stir up unresolved feelings, culminating in a shared walk down the aisle as part of the wedding party.
At the reception, Maya agrees to share a dance with Ryan for old times’ sake. As they sway together, Maya’s emotions come flooding back like a storm surge, forcing her to confront the feelings she thought she had buried. However, doubt gnaws at her, as she questions whether Ryan truly deserves a second chance after how things ended between them.

Critical[]
Second Chances received a more mixed, but still generally favourable, reception compared to its predecessor, The Accidental Proposal. While critics praised the reunion of Callan Prescott and Izzy Lopez for reigniting the chemistry that made the original film so charming, some felt the sequel lacked the same fresh appeal. Reviewers appreciated the emotional depth of the characters’ rekindled romance and while not as groundbreaking as the first, Second Chanceswas still considered a solid, heartwarming follow-up.
