Rowan Foley is a manager who has been at Beverly Shores for 2 years. He is best known for managing Isabella Lopez. He is portrayed by Thomas Kretschmann.
In the 1970s Naomh was a young Irish woman visiting her cousin in America for a week. There she met Abe. One week wasn't enough for them to base a whole relationship on, especially since they met in the middle of the week and knew each other 3 days at most when Naomh had to return to Ireland. Abe stole a notepad she carried everywhere so he could go to her home and return it to her in person and she introduced him to the rest of her family. By the end of the decade they were living in America with a child on the way. They never had a lot of money, but neither of them were ambitious enough to care much about it, they were happy with what they had and they didn't want anything more than the family they created together. Naomh had 2 children with Abe, a son called Rowan and a daughter named Aisling.
Growing up Rowan and Aisling were so loved by their parents it almost left them with rose colored glasses and blind to the hatred in the world. As children, Aisling loved the local cinema and the movies playing in it, the smell of the popcorn and the huge screens. Rowan, on the other hand, who was 4 years older, always watched the cartoons and later movies, that he was a bit too old for. Although he was bored, he knew his sister was happier with him going to the cinema with alongside her, so he kept on going. However he wasn't entertained by the movies as much as he was by the trailers beforehand, which showed upcoming action movies and thrillers and comedies he wanted to see, but he could never afford since he was going to movies with his sister. Watching a lot of commercials and trailers before the movies in the cinema, and properly focusing on them, he developed a liking for marketing and advertising.
That's why when he was 18, he went to college and picked a communications degree so he could end up in advertising. He didn't stray far from home so he could visit his parents and his darling little sister two weekends each month he was away. When his sister was 20 and he was about to finish his 4th year in college and graduate, his sister turned cold and distant. His sister was defiled and assulted and when she came out to the world people didn't believe her and she commited suicide while he was away and couldn't reach her to tell her he believes her. After that he tried getting back on his feet but he couldn't because her death caused him great distress.
Four years later he tried getting back on his feet, and he managed, working for a digital marketing business. He felt no joy in advertising and marketing anymore since it always reminded him of the reason he started doing it, the cinema commercials and trailers and that would always remind him of going to cinema with his sister. Realizing he can't stay in advertising anymore, he had to find another job. In order to not throw away his degree that caused him blood sweat and tears, he decided to get a job that a communications degree would be good for, but not connected to marketing at all. This is how he became the publicist of an actress called Isabela Lopez and he's been working as such since he was 35. Last month (one month before the begining of the RP) she promoted him to her manager as his birthday present.
Rowan was always loyal and dedicated, but through his work he became eloquent and charming, and he had to be hard-working to make it as far as he got in life. He was never felicific or passionate, like his sister was, and he was in many ways different to her, but they both were creative and over that they bonded, so he loved her more than anything. It turned out that he wasn't the only person that loved her beyond anything when his mother died of a 'broken heart' after Aisling's death and left father and son to fend for themselves, being too big of cowards to end it like she did, but being too heartbroken and mournful to continue living like normal. That's why for those four years Rowan retreated into his shell after Aisling's death, but since he emerged as a new person, as if the Rowan whose sister and mother died never existed. Through working for Isabela he learned discipline and scrupulousness, but also reliability and purpose. He's found his own through working for her and he enjoyed himself while in her service, more than he thought he could.
